Thank you for your interest in Has Northamptonshire got talent!

If your initial application is successful you will be invited to attend the live auditions at either the Grosvenor shopping Centre or the Market Square events area Northampton from the 2nd – 13th  August 2010. 

If you are successful at the auditions you will be put through to the semi final on the 21st August and possibly the final on the 28th August. (Applicants must make sure they are available on these dates)

It is very important that you provide us with as much information as possible on this initial application form – this is your chance to convince us you have talent and get selected for the live auditions.

What to do now:

Read through the terms and conditions of the application.

If you are happy that you comply with the rules, complete the information form and return to us as soon as possible (closing date for applications is Sunday 18th July) any applications received after this date will not be considered.

We will contact you to let you know if you have been selected to attend the auditions and send you details of the audition process.

Please enclose a colour photograph of yourself with this application form.  If you have demo tapes, CD’s or video footage of yourself performing please also include that with your application.

You must sign the disclaimer form and return it with your application form.  If you are aged 16 or under you must get a parent or guardian to sign the disclaimer as well – you should have a parent or guardian with you throughout the competition.  If you are applying as a group we must receive a signed disclaimer from each performer involved.

 Competition Rules

The competition is not open to those employed by The Grosvenor Centre, Northampton Borough Council events team, Northampton Chronicle & Echo, or their family members.

Applicants must be non-professional (can have been paid to perform but should not have been their main source of income)

No age restrictions apply to this event; however performances must be suitable for a family audience and should not contain anything that could be deemed offensive in any way.

All acts must be able to perform in less than 5 minutes.

If you are 16 or under you must have the permission of a parent or guardian to apply and you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at any performances.

All applicants must be available to attend the auditions on any date given from the 2nd  – 13th  August, the semi final on the 21st August and the Grand Final on the 28th August.

Microphones, lighting, PA, and CD player will be provided.

Applicants must provide their own backing music on CD and any other props or equipment required for their performance, it is your responsibility to ensure any such equipment is safe and well maintained.  The decision of the event organisers will be final in deciding this.

The winner will receive £500 in vouchers to be spent in the Grosvenor Centre.

The organisers are in no way liable for any return travel expenses.

The decision of the judges and organisers of the event are final.  No correspondence will be entered into.

The judges may at any time during the competition and in their absolute discretion adjourn or terminate the competition before a winner has been chosen where the adjournment or termination is reasonably necessary due to causes outside the judges reasonable control.

Has Northamptonshire Got Talent is not affiliated to Britain’s Got Talent in any way.
